Here's how the class types differ and who each one is for.
Mat Classes
matEach class is one hour long and you will experience a variety of different moves. These will target things like your breathing, abdominal and pelvic floor contractions, joint stabilisation, flexibility and developing a strong neutral spine.
Reformer Classes
reformerHere at The Pilates Room, we offer a wide range of reformer classes in the form of group, private and semi-private classes. A reformer workout is the ideal way to build strength and work towards your fitness goals using our state of the art reformer resistance machines. In our effective small group classes, a reformer workout utilises spring-controlled resistance to build core strength, endurance, coordination and increase flexibility. The resistance that's created by the pulley and spring system, alongside the weight of your body, provides you with a challenging endurance and strength workout and will make you work even harder than mat pilates.
Group Classes
groupAt The Pilates Room, we offer a range of group pilates classes. The great thing about our group classes is that we don't overcrowd them. We focus on groups of around seven people meaning our instructors can focus on ensuring you are getting the best from your class and pushing yourself.
Privates
privateIt is advisable to have a 1 hour private session prior to purchasing any sessions in order to gain a basic understanding of neutral spine, breathing technique, joint stabilisation and abdominal/ pelvic floor contraction, the basis for all pilates moves.
Semi-Privates (Duo)
semi-privateCombo Packages
comboIf you can't decide between a mat pilates class or reformer classes, or you simply would like to try both, then here at The Pilates Room we offer a combo package that can allow you to do both sets of classes. We're passionate about finding a pilates program that works for you!
