Pregnancy & Postnatal Classes

All pregnancy exercises performed on reformer bed using light weights, balls and bands with focus on deep abdominals and pelvic floor connection. Postnatal classes include different exercises and positions, with some allowing you to bring non-mobile newborns. Exercises can be modified for specific injuries or conditions.

Mothers Groups

A 4-week postpartum course for recovery following childbirth designed to improve abdominal and pelvic floor strength. Minimum 5 participants required. Can arrange suitable times and bring newborn babies from 6 weeks postnatally.

Private Sessions

Individualised program with a Physiotherapist for those new to pilates or with specific injuries/conditions. Home visits can also be arranged for early postnatally recovery.

Is Bumps Pilates right for you?

Pregnant women
Classes designed specifically for pregnancy from 12 weeks with clearance to exercise from your GP, obstetrician or midwife. Exercises modified for hormonal and physical changes.
Postnatal women
Classes available from 6 weeks postpartum with clearance to exercise from your GP/Obstetrician. Focus on regaining strength of deep abdominal and pelvic floor muscles.
Women with specific conditions
Exercises can be modified for low back pain, DRAM, pelvic pain, prolapse, carpal tunnel or other injuries/conditions with physiotherapist guidance.
