Here's how the class types differ and who each one is for.
Reformer Align
Focusing on traditional Pilates principles to build core strength and work the entire body. Includes traditional mat exercises on the reformer with alignment and core strength focus to build foundations of a strong and stable body. Suitable for all levels including beginners.
Reformer Flow
Blending strong Pilates and conditioning moves to strengthen and lengthen the body. Allows movement in all planes of motion on the reformer with balance challenges and flowing strength moves. Suitable for all levels.
Reformer Plus
Active pace with more advanced exercises on the reformer to get heart rate up by challenging the entire body. Focus on strength and larger dynamic movements. Not suitable for beginners, clients with pre-existing conditions or prenatal clients.
Reformer Stretch & Core
Luscious stretchy flows combined with core strengthening in all planes of motion. Focus on movement, spinal articulation, core conditioning and achieving full body release. Suitable for all levels excluding prenatal clients.
Mums & Bubs Reformer Pilates
Classes designed for women to maintain or build strength specifically for changes in the body during and after pregnancy. Provides safe, supported environment where mums can feel strong and confident. Complimentary baby bouncers and mats supplied for bubs.
Prenatal Pilates
Prenatal clients wanting to attend general group classes post 12 weeks must first attend a 1:1 prenatal session with an experienced teacher. After completing the 1:1 session, can attend any class excluding Reformer Plus and Reformer Stretch & Core.
Roll & Release
One-of-a-kind signature class using the roller for full body release and strength training. Blends foam roller exercises with functional fascia training and release, focusing on full body strengthening, mobility and optimal spinal alignment. Available in-studio at Thornbury or online.
